Note: Textview requires the Visual C++ 7.0 Runtime Library. Download msvcr70.dll [176 KB] if this file is not already present on your system. To run Textview on earlier versions of Windows, it may be necessary to download msftedit.dll [303 KB] as well.

Once upon a time, metapath was created as an Explorer-like add-on for the handy freeware editor metapad. Meanwhile, metapath has become a universal file browser plugin, which can open files in existing windows of any application you like - also works perfectly with Notepad2.

Textview is a handy program to quickly review large collections of text files, like i.e. CD-ROMs full of source codes or extensive web-projects with many html-, java- and other scripts.

This is a copy of the Windows 95 Run Dialog Box. The implementation as a standalone executable file has a great advantage over the original: you can create a shortcut on your desktop and assign a hotkey to it, and the Run Dialog Box is ready on the spot!

This utility can be used to modify time stamps of files and directories. You can either run ntouch from the command line and specify the files to be modified as separate arguments (with wildcards), or you can add files and directories using drag & drop from Explorer.

dtouch is the companion of ntouch to add or remove a specified time span to or from time stamps of files and directories. Note: to modify file and exif time stamps of digital camera pictures, I recommend jhead.
